erm, nothing much really, I was just giving this professor explanations as to why the class couldn't attend a screening of Oedipus Rex on the last day of college and the words I stammered out were to the effect, "sir, shobai kete porechhe, apni jodi chhobita dekhan and they all miss it aami bohut jhaar khabo!"
Yes well, all I have to add is, my bangla at the best of times is a single step away from being either hideously corrupt or extravagantly shudhho(=pure) and this particular prof reduces my nonchalently self-assured twenty-two year old self to a stuttering breathless twelve year old....sheesh!!!
Nasty comments would seem to be inevitable after this explanation but all commenters are hereby informed that sticks and stones might break my bones but *words* shall *never* hurt me. So hah!
I wonder why he looked like someone else when i went to meet him at JUDE last summer... aar keu to emon korey chehara bodlay na... tintin, rimi, a-lal etc etc keep on looking the same season after season...
